Ramgarh: Following directions from the Jharkhand High Court, the district administration has accelerated redevelopment plans for the revered Rajrappa Temple after clearing encroachments from the premise
Deputy Commissioner Rituraj visited the temple site along with a team of senior officials and technical experts to review the proposed development blueprint. A detailed meeting was also held at the guest house with state minister Fagu Besra, temple committee members, and officials from various departments to discuss the roadmap for redevelopment.
Based on the approved layout plan, the team conducted an on-ground inspection of key locations identified for major infrastructure upgrades. These include a proposed bus stand, entry and exit gates, घाट (riverfront steps), construction of shops, and other essential facilities aimed at improving the overall experience for devotees.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that the redevelopment will be carried out in a planned and systematic manner, keeping safety, traffic management, and pilgrim convenience as top priorities. He also assured that shopkeepers displaced during the anti-encroachment drive will be rehabilitated at designated locations once land identification is completed.
Addressing environmental concerns, officials confirmed that compensatory afforestation will be undertaken for trees cut during the development process. A separate site inspection was conducted with forest department officials to plan this initiative.
Several senior officials, including forest officials, additional collector, sub-divisional officer, municipal representatives, and engineers from concerned departments, were present during the visit to ensure coordinated execution of the project.
Officials noted that similar fast-paced development work carried out earlier in Koderma serves as a model, and the administration aims to replicate that efficiency in transforming Rajrappa into a well-organized and accessible religious destination.
