Ranchi: Back to School Campaign has been launched to bring back students in the age group of 5 to 18 years in government schools and maintain regular attendance. The programme will run for 30 days from April 5 to May 4. Regarding this, a workshop was organized on Tuesday. Deputy Development Commissioner, Ranchi Vishal Sagar District Education Officer, District Education Superintendent, representatives of local MP/ MLA, ADPO, BPO and Ward Councilors and Panchayat representatives were present in the meeting.
Many children are currently out of school after the school was closed for almost two years due to the corona pandemic. There will be a special focus on this during the campaign. ADPO Ranchi gave detailed information about the activities to be done under the campaign.
During the campaign, it will also be reviewed how many children have enrolled in higher classes after passing primary and upper primary classes. For this, mapping of all primary schools with middle schools, and middle schools with high schools has been asked. Others, including out-of-school children, have been asked to mark them with the Dahar app and ensure enrollment.
Deputy Development Commissioner Vishal Sagar said that back to school campaign has been started for reconnecting children with schools and 100 percent attendance. Children will be encouraged to come back to school by organizing several programs for a whole month. He said that in coordination with various departments, efforts would be made to make this campaign successful along with MPs, MLAs and executive representatives of Gram Panchayats.
The Deputy Development Commissioner said that not everyone gets the opportunity to serve the people. Understand this- the government has given you an important responsibility, discharge it with full readiness so that the work of creating an educated society can be done by educating the people. Remove it with all your collective effort. On this occasion, the District Education Officer said that the education system was stalled for the entire two years.
The programme will run for one month in the entire district. It has to be ensured that not a single child remains out of school, everyone is enrolled in the school and everyone’s attendance remains in the school. MP representative and MLA representative also spoke. During the campaign, necessary instructions have been given in all schools, including colour-painting, repair of classrooms, proper arrangement of toilets and drinking water. Schools, Blocks and Districts who have excelled will be felicitated.
At the district level, meeting with public representatives, district level officers of all departments, Block Development Officer, Area Education Officer and Block Education Extension Officer, BRP-CRP and others, enrollment and attendance of children received through e-Vidhyavahini will be reviewed.
Programmes will be organized by dividing the 30 days of the campaign into two parts. Under this, for the first 10 days, work will be done on the meeting and strategy in the office under the district and block. In the remaining days, programmes will be organized in schools. During these 20 days, different activities will be done every day in the schools, in which teachers and children will participate. Continuous monitoring of the School Ruar 2022 programme will be done by all the officers and personnel working at the district project office and block-level through e-Vidhyavahini.
