Ranchi: The administration is fully prepared for the Jharkhand Women’s Asian Champions Trophy. For the first time, an international hockey competition is going to be organized in Jharkhand from 27 October to 5 November. Teams from India, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, China and Thailand have reached Ranchi to participate in it. It will be inaugurated by Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan and CM Hemant Soren on Friday at 4 pm.
On Thursday, the district administration conducted a police briefing regarding security at Morhabadi ground in preparation for the competition. DIG Anoop Birthare, DC Rahul Kumar Sinha, SSP Chandan Sinha and all top officers and policemen were present in it. It was said that no one will be able to go inside the stadium with weapons or sticks, even if he is the bodyguard of a minister or a VVIP.
Entry into the stadium will be allowed only after keeping the weapons outside. The policeman will be provided a jacket of one color. Police duty will be from 12.30 pm to 10.30 pm during the day. There should be no work that brings disrepute to the state, hence all work has to be done with restraint.
Changes have been made in the traffic arrangements regarding the match. Entry of normal vehicles has been banned in Morhabadi ground area during the match. Only people watching the match will get entry in this route. Traffic SP Kumar Gaurav has released the route chart. Arrangements for vehicle parking have been made at Morhabadi ground.
From DC residence turn to MP Shibu Soren residence till Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Hockey Stadium, only team buses, media persons and pass holder vehicles will be allowed to enter. Entry of normal vehicles has been banned. Only VVIP vehicles and media persons with passes will be able to enter from Morhabadi Bapu Vatika side.
Parking arrangements have been made at Morhabadi TOP for the hockey team bus and important vehicles. Vehicle parking has been arranged behind the Morhabadi Maidan main stage for VVIP (red pass) vehicles. Parking arrangements for vehicles with orange, blue and green passes have been made near the Morhabadi main platform.
Spectators entering from gate number three will park their vehicles at Morhabadi Birsa Football Stadium. Vehicles entering from gate number four can be parked at Karamtoli Dhumkudiya, IMA Building Complex. DC and SSP have appealed to the people of Ranchi and Jharkhand that Jharkhand has always had a tradition of Atithi Devo Bhava. Everyone should fulfill this, so that a good image of Ranchi is presented to the guests who have come to attend this championship.
From security point of view, police officers and police forces have been deputed. Along with this, Magistrate has also been deployed. The entire area has also been divided into 14 zones. Where police officers and magistrates have been deployed.
Gate number 1: Hockey players, Hockey India technical officials and broadcasters will be allowed to enter.
Gate number 2: VVIP and invitation card holders will be allowed to enter. Only VVIP vehicles will enter through this gate.
Gate number 3: General spectators will be able to enter, while car parking for spectators will be arranged at the place between the football stadium and Morhabadi ground.
Gate number 4: General spectators will enter.
Car parking arrangements will be made in IIM Bhawan and Karamtoli Talab Akhara. Once the stadium is filled with spectators, entry of spectators from gate number 3 and 4 will be closed. Interested spectators will be able to watch the live telecast of the match on LED screens at Morhabadi ground and football stadium. People who will watch the match on LED. Arrangements for parking their vehicles will be made at Morhabadi ground towards Oxygen Park.
