With cooperation of all will make a strong state on our own says CM, claims no government for 20 years cared for people of Jharkhand

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that with cooperation of all his government will make a strong and empowered Jharkhand on its own. Addressing the 22nd foundation day function organised at the historic Morhabadi grounds of the state capital he said Jharkhand known for its mineral wealth is also the land of brave men.

The day is also being celebrated as birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda he said adding that since long there had been a demand of a separate state of Jharkhand and the forefathers for centuries have fought for their rights and demands and also waged many battles for the existence and honour of the people without being tired or stopping. Pointing to his father Dishom Guru Shibu Soren was also on the stage he said that it was under the leadership of Guruji that dream of a separate Jharkhand state could be realised.

The Chief Minister said that many governments were formed in 22 years but the problems of tribals, Dalits and backward people of this state remained unchanged as the previous governments did not work according to the expectations of the people of the state. The Chief Minister said that with the blessings and co-operation of all the residents of the state his government won a political battle to solve the problems prevailing in the state and in December 2019 formed its own government in the state. 

He claimed that Jharkhand has never seen such a strong government in the last 20 years. Yes, it is definitely a fact that governments were formed and run but the solution to the problem was negligible he said adding that his party formed the government with the hope and expectation that he would solve all the big and small problems of the state in 5 years but as soon as the government was formed it was surrounded by a global pandemic like Corona.

At the time of Corona markets, big companies, other means of employment were all closed in the entire country including Jharkhand and in such a situation people know what was the condition of Jharkhand the most backward state of the country but due to the tolerance of the people of the state and the positive working style of the state government, Jharkhand was been able to win the battle against Corona even in the adverse situation.

He said that as soon as the corona decreased, the problem of drought arose in the state as another calamity. The state government has identified 226 blocks and declared them drought-prone on the other hand while many schemes are being run for the purpose of providing relief to the farmers of the state.

The Chief Minister said that earlier farmers did not get fertilizers and seeds on time, but this time his government did the work of providing fertilizers and seeds to the farmer brothers ahead of time, but the rains did not cooperate. The situation has happened that state is in the grip of drought but even in such a challenging situation his government did not let anyone get discouraged and made many schemes for the farmers and the needy people. The farmers are getting the benefits of these schemes as the government has decided to immediately provide an amount of Rs 3500 for drought relief to about 31 lakh farmer families in 226 identified drought-hit blocks of the state.

The Chief Minister said that the poverty and backwardness prevailing in the state today is no less than a curse. He said that his government is providing loans to the people at their doorstep paving the way for self-employment moreover the state government is also giving grants for employment generation. The government has made such an action plan so that the rural economy of Jharkhand could be strengthened he said adding that schemes have been made according to the needs of the people here.

The Chief Minister said that his government is engaged in strengthening the roots as when the root is strong then only the tree will stand firmly. He said that camps were organized in Panchayat and villages under Aapki Yojana Aapki Sarkar Apke Dwar. In 20 years, no government would have seen such a camp being organized. The problems of the people here are being solved by setting up camps in the villages the Chief Minister said that along with the common people his government has worked to solve the problems of many sections including government employees, policemen, para teachers, Anganwadi workers.

The Chief Minister said that the process of appointment is going on continuously and recruitment has also been done through JPSC. Recently, through the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC), 250 boys and girls of the state have been appointed as officers. In these appointments, there are 32 children who were from BPL families. In these 32 children, some parents were labourers and some parents were farmers. Boys and girls from such classes have brought laurels to their parents by getting selected in the state service.

The Chief Minister said that the state government is very serious about quality education and has started Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana, especially for the girl child as the government has set a target of connecting 9 lakh girls of the state with this scheme. Under this scheme, girls are being given benefits and on completion of 18 years they will be given a lump sum assistance of Rs 40,000. We are going to make such a scheme in which the state government will bear all the expenses of the education of girls who want to become engineers, doctors, lawyers etc he said adding that the government will also help the students for higher education. The Chief Minister said that Jharkhand is the first state in the country where the state government is also sending its children to study abroad at its own expense.

The Chief Minister said that his government wants to strengthen the foundation of the coming generation so that they can develop themselves and also contribute in the development of this state. He said that a special campaign was conducted regarding Aapki Yojana Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar but the process of giving benefits of the schemes to the people will continue unabated. Needy people must come to the block office and take advantage of these schemes. Apart from connecting with the schemes, the camp was also organized to create awareness among the villagers.

The Chief Minister said that the government received 54 lakh applications in this campaign. Out of these, 35 lakh applications have been processed through the camps only. He said that this state was left to God for 20 years but If blessings of the people remain then in the coming times this state will stand not on the trust of God but on its own trust and willpower will stand on its own strength. He said that the government has taken a resolve to remove poverty and illiteracy.

The Chief Minister said that work has been started on a large scale with the aim of providing water to the farmers. The government will do the work of providing water to every farm. The Chief Minister said that has identified 226 blocks to provide relief to the farmers from drought. After a few days, camps will again be organized in villages and panchayats where 31 lakh farmers will be selected and financial assistance will be provided to them.

The Chief Minister said that November 11 has been a very historic day for the state as the CNT law was made on 11th November itself. On November 11 his government had passed the Sarna Religion Code Bill from the Assembly and on November 11 itself his government has done the work of passing the 1932 Khatian-based domicile policy and the bill for increasing reservation in appointments and services. The Chief Minister said that all should make efforts to pave the way for the state to move forward, to live with morale and self-respect.

On this occasion, Rural Development Minister Aalamgir Alam and Labour, Planning and Training Minister Satyanand Bhokta and General Secretary of All India Congress Committee and Jharkhand Congress incharge Avinash Pandey also addressed the public ans spoke about the welfare schemes and programs being run by the state government. 

On this occasion, former Chief Minister and present Rajya Sabha MP Dishom Guru Shibu Soren, Rural Development Minister Aalamgir Alam, Labour, Planning and Training Minister Satyanand Bhokta, All India Congress Committee General Secretary and Jharkhand Congress in-charge Avinash Pandey, Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Maji, Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh, Director General of Police Neeraj Sinha, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Rajeev Arun Ekka, Principal Secretary Personnel Department Vandana Dadel, Secretary to Chief Minister Vinay Kumar Choubey, Wife of Chief Minister Kalpana Soren. Many dignitaries and senior officials including and a large number of people were present.
