Will extend gift of old pension scheme to government employees by August 15: Hemant Soren

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren announced that the state government will give the gift of an old pension scheme to the government employees by August 15. Addressing the Pension Jaighosh Mahasammelan at the Birsa Munda Football Stadium here he said that the state government is sensitive towards providing social security to all.

He said that after battling Covid the state government is trying to speed up the development process in the state in which the government employees have a very important role to play. He said that ‘they’ are an inseparable part of the government and to give a better direction to the state support of all sections is required.

The Chief Minister said that the government is working to solve their problems similar to the lines of para teachers and Anganwadi workers whose problems have been solved. The Chief Minister said that geographical locations are very complex in the state and in such a scenario it is the government employees who take the message of the government to the people and it will be only possible to bring the state stand among the developed nations if the government and employees work in coordination.

He said that the government is trying to reach the root of the problems and all issues related to the welfare of the people are being addressed on a priority basis. He lauded them for their work during the pandemic and said that the work done by them during the difficult times can never be forgotten. He said that despite limited resources the government managed to bring out the state from the clutches of Coronavirus.

He said that when the people were closed in their homes at that time the Anganwadi workers, Sahiyas and women of self-help groups took food to the needy poor and farmers and did not allow anyone to sleep empty stomach. He assured the crowd that the state government will fulfill all the promises which have been made to the people.

He said that for the first time after the formation of the state scientists have been appointed to legal science laboratories and after 32 years officials have been appointed in the agriculture department. Hemant said that protecting people and providing social Security is a priority for the government due to which the Universal Pension Scheme has been launched in Jharkhand.

He said that people sitting on constitutional posts should be sensitive and before taking any decision should look at all the necessary aspects and should worry about the present and future generations as well. He said that the present state government is trying to realize the schemes on the ground without any discrimination.

He pointed out that under his tenure so far the employees in various government departments have not staged any dharna or demonstration as there is no place for using force, exploitation or creating unnecessary trouble for anyone. Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Majhi, MLA Amba Prasad and others were present on the occasion.
