Western disturbance to further increase chill in Jharkhand

Ranchi: Chill will increase in the coming days in Jharkhand due to the effect of Western Disturbance in North Pakistan and adjoining Punjab. The minimum temperature of many districts including the capital Ranchi, Jamshedpur has become more than normal these days.

The Meteorological Center Ranchi, located near Birsa Munda Airport of Ranchi, has given this information on Sunday. According to the Meteorological Center, the minimum temperature in Ranchi is three degrees above normal, while it is 4.6 degrees Celsius higher in Jamshedpur.

The minimum temperature of Daltonganj and Chaibasa also exceeded normal. It is 0.7 degree Celsius above normal in Daltonganj and 3.1 degree celsius in Chaibasa of West Singhbhum. Only in Bokaro, the temperature is 0.2 degree Celsius less than normal. 

However, a drop has been recorded in the maximum temperature during the last 24 hours. The maximum temperature of Ranchi was recorded at 24-degree celsius which is 0.5 degree less than normal. At the same time the maximum temperature of Jamshedpur was 24.5 degree Celsius, which is 2.1 degree less than normal.

The maximum temperature in Daltonganj was 25.2 degree Celsius. It is 1.8 degrees less than normal. Similarly, the maximum temperature of Bokaro was recorded 0.8 degrees below normal. During the last 24 hours, the maximum temperature here was recorded at 25.1 degree centigrade. The maximum temperature in Chaibasa was 24.4 degree Celsius, which is 1.3 degree less than normal.

During the last 24 hours the weather remained dry in Jharkhand. In the morning there was light fog at some places. The maximum temperature was recorded in Deoghar, while the minimum temperature was recorded in Daltonganj. Deoghar recorded the highest temperature of 27.3 degree Celsius, while Daltonganj recorded a minimum temperature of 11 degree celsius.

The Meteorological Center has also released the forecast for the next few days. It has been said that there are no signs of any major change in the night temperature for the next three-four days. After that, a drop in temperature will be recorded for the next two days.

During this, a drop of 2 to 3 degree celsius in temperature can be recorded. There is a forecast of fog or mist in the morning till 15th December. However, the sky will be clear during the day. The weather will also remain dry. The Meteorological Center has said for Ranchi and surrounding areas that till December 15, people will have to face fog and mist in the morning.

There will not be much change in the maximum temperature, but a change in the minimum temperature can be seen. Till December 15 the maximum temperature of Ranchi will be between 26 to 27 degrees, while the minimum temperature will drop from December 12 onwards. On December 14 and 15, the minimum temperature is expected to fall to 11 degree Celsius.
