Unveiling of Hockey World Cup Trophy will create enthusiasm for mega event: CM

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren unveiled the trophy of the Men’s Hockey World Cup which is slated to be held in Bhubaneswar and Rourkela of Odisha from January 13, 2023.

Expressing his delight over the World Cup being held in India he said that the trophy is being taken to many cities where sports lovers and the common people are seeing it. He said that with the initiative an environment in favor of hockey will be created in the country.

He also extended his best wishes to the officials of Hockey India and the players. Ministers Satyanand Bhokta and Mithlesh Thakur, MLA Baidyanath Ram, General Secretary of Hockey India Bhola Nath Singh, member of the Indian Women Hockey Selection Committee Asunta Lakra, former international player Sumrai Tete and others were present.
