Ranchi: Vigilance Department of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) under the guidance of Ministry of Coal and Coal India launched a massive inspection campaign named “Weight Bridge Awareness Week” in all command areas.
The initiative, running up to August 14, 2024, aims to sensitize the officers, staff and stakeholders about proper operation and maintenance of weighbridges.
Throughout the week, 171 weighbridges will be inspected in the command areas of CCL to ensure compliance with operational standards and maintenance protocols.
The awareness campaign will cover all aspects of operation and maintenance of weighbridges, with the objective of providing impartial and to create knowledge about the practices to be adopted for transparent operations.
Weigh Bridge is an important equipment in coal companies which is used to measure the weight of loaded and empty vehicles carrying coal.
This system helps ensure accurate measurement of coal transported and compliance with transportation regulations can be ensured and inventory can be managed effectively.
They are integral to the operational efficiency of bridge coal companies, this ensures that all coal transactions are recorded correctly and potential financial losses due to inaccurate measurements are prevented.
