Ranchi: Waterlogging has occurred on the road near the Bada Talab, located in the heart of the city. The accumulated drainage water has been causing significant problems for pedestrians and local residents. The stagnant water on the road has also led to an increase in mosquito breeding.
Due to the waterlogging, vehicles passing through the area face difficulties as well. Even a light rainfall causes the entire road to get submerged. The condition of the road worsens during the monsoon season, yet the Ranchi Municipal Corporation has not taken any concrete steps to address the issue.
Local residents have expressed their concerns, stating that the stagnant water not only leads to foul odors but also poses a health risk, increasing the chances of diseases. They mentioned that walking on this road during the rainy season becomes nearly impossible as the sewage water rises up to the knees.
Residents are urging the Municipal Corporation to find a permanent solution to this problem. They have suggested that, as a temporary measure, stone dust should be spread on the road to make it passable until proper repairs are carried out.
It is noteworthy that the road affected by the waterlogging is just 100 meters away from Seva Sadan. As a result, not only the local residents but also patients and their relatives, who are on their way to the hospital, are facing significant inconvenience.
