Ranchi: Two wild elephants entered the Meriyatand area of Ratu police station, near Ranchi, on Thursday morning. The entry of the elephants into this densely populated area has created a sense of fear and chaos among the locals.
The elephants were spotted near the old cold storage, prompting residents to rush out of their homes. However, due to fear, no one dared to approach the elephants. Villagers promptly informed the Forest Department, and a team has been working to guide the elephants to a safer location.
The administration has urged the public not to gather in crowds and to remain alert in order to prevent the elephants from venturing further into populated areas. This is not the first time elephants have been seen in this region, which has raised concerns among local residents.
