Voting ends on four seats of Jharkhand, Mahendra Singh Dhoni casts vote in Ranchi, highest turnout of 57.11 percent in Giridih

Ranchi:  Voting has ended on four Lok Sabha seats of Jharkhand, Giridih, Dhanbad, Ranchi and Jamshedpur.

Now only people standing in line at the polling station will be able to cast their votes.

A total of 93 candidates are in the fray for the four seats where elections were held on Saturday.

A total of 54.34 percent voting took place in Jharkhand till 3 pm.

At the same time, Giridih recorded the highest turnout of 57.11%.

Apart from this, 50.60 % voting took place in Dhanbad, 54.25 % in Ranchi and 56.14 % in Jamshedpur.

Former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni cast his vote in Ranchi.

State Governor CP Radhakrishnan and Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh, former Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s wife Kalpana Soren cast their vote in Ranchi.

Chief Electoral Officer K. Ravi Kumar voted at booth number 372 of Government Model High School BMP Ground Doranda.

The Chief Electoral Officer arrived with his family and voted.

His wife and son had come with him to vote.

The Chief Electoral Officer appealed to all the voters to reach the polling station with their families and vote.

 Additional Chief Electoral Officer Dr. Neha Arora voted in Ranchi.

In Jamshedpur, people faced a lot of trouble due to EVM malfunctioning at booth number 288.

If we look at these four seats, there are a total of more than 21 lakh voters in Ranchi Lok Sabha seat.

The main contest on this seat is between BJP and Congress.

Congress has expressed confidence in the young face Yashaswini Sahay. Ranchi Lok Sabha seat has been held by BJP for the last two times.

Subodh Kant Sahay of Congress won in the year 2009.

Now his daughter is in the electoral fray.
