Ranchi: Businessman Vishnu Aggarwal will appear before the ED on July 31 for questioning in the land scam case.
The ED has issued summons for the third time asking to appear.
The last time was to go to ED’s Hinoo regional office on July 26, but citing worship, he mailed and asked for time. On July 26 itself, the ED had issued an urgent notice.
In the summons issued by the ED, he has been asked to reach the ED’s regional office, Hinoo, by 11 am.
Businessman Vishnu Agarwal was earlier called for questioning by the ED on July 17.
He had sought three weeks’ time from the ED citing health reasons, but the probe agency did not give him much time.
If ED sources are to be believed, Vishnu Agarwal may face trouble for not appearing before the Enforcement Directorate officials even after continuous notices.
It is being told that there is a lot of evidence against him.
This is the reason why Vishnu Aggarwal is avoiding answering ED’s questions.
If sources are to be believed, he can be arrested after the questioning of 31 July.
The matter related to the land came to light when the ED arrested Ranchi’s officer Ali.
Earlier, on November 4, 2022, the ED raided several locations of Vishnu Agarwal in the land scam.
Later three summons were sent to Vishnu Aggarwal for questioning.
His name came up in the purchase of land on the Cheshire Home Road, as well as in a number of land matters. In the investigation, ED found that Prem Prakash’s role in this land deal also came to the fore.
At the same time, in the purchase of 9.30 acres of Khas Mahal land in Pugadu, the matter of forgery also came to the fore.
Businessman Vishnu Agarwal is originally from Purulia.
Have been living in Ranchi for many years.
The famous Nucleus Mall of Ranchi’s Circular Road belongs to him.
Phase II of Nucleus Mall is in Chandni Chowk, Kanke Road.
That too belongs to him. He is also the owner of land worth more than Rs 500 crore in Ranchi.
It is said that Vishnu Aggarwal has good relations with many ministers and MLAs. Many IAS-IPS officers are also in contact with Vishnu Agarwal.
