At that time, BJP MLA Bhanu Pratap Shahi had talked about increasing the salary on the lines of Delhi.

Then there was no clear answer from the government on this subject.

The last salary hike in the state was in the year 2015 under the Raghubar Das government.

If this proposal is agreed upon in the monsoon session, then the salary of the MLAs can go up to Rs 60,000.

In fact, after the talk of salary hike during the budget session, the House formed a committee under the chairmanship of senior BJP MLA Ramchandra Chandravanshi.

This committee was asked to prepare a report regarding the increment.

It is being told that this committee has submitted its report.

According to the proposal prepared by the assembly committee headed by senior BJP MLA Ramchandra Chandravanshi regarding the salary hike of ministers and legislators, it is recommended to increase the salary of legislators from Rs 40,000 to Rs 55,000 to Rs 60,000 per month.

Has been. It is being said that preparations are being made to bring this proposal in the ongoing monsoon session.

There was talk of increasing the salaries of MLAs and ministers during the budget session.

He had said that like Delhi, the salary of the MLAs should be increased in Jharkhand as well.

Due to rise in inflation, he had demanded to increase the salary of MLAs on the basis of demand of the time.

The members of the party and the opposition were seen agreeing on his demand.

The last increase in salary was in the year 2015 in the Raghubar Das government.

Then the basic salary of the Chief Minister was increased from Rs 70,000 to Rs 80,000 and the basic salary of the MLAs was increased from Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000.

The basic salary of the Leader of the Opposition was increased from Rs 50,000 to Rs 65,000 per month and the basic salary of the Speaker was increased from Rs 55,000 to Rs 78,000.

Salary of Chief Whip was increased to 55 thousand in 2017.

Similarly, 50 thousand rupees are given to the Deputy Chief Whip and 45 thousand rupees to the whip.

The salary of the MLAs was 40 thousand.
