Ranchi, May 15: AJSU Tamar MLA Vikas Munda continued his indefinite fast against the surrender of dreaded Maoists Kunda Pahan for the second day at the Morabadi Grounbds here despite his health conditions taking a beating.
On Monday he wrote a letter to Chief Minister Raghubar Das demanding that a CBI probe should be ordered int his surrender drama. He demanded that the state police should be given clear cut instructions that strong evidences should be put forward in the courts against Kundan Pahan so that he can get maximum punishment which will help to instill the belief of the people orelse questions would be raised on the functioning of the police.
He expressed satisfaction that the High Court had taken suo-motto cognizance against the incident and urged the court to intervene in the matter. Munda also demanded that the Jharkhand Police should come out with a white paper on the issue so that the people who lost their dear ones can know the real picture.
He questioned as to why a maoist who was thrown out of the organisation managed to surrender without arms and is being branded as teh brand ambassador of operation Nai Disha which was the surrender policy of the state government. He said that neither police nor Kundan can realise teh sufferings of the families who lost their near and dear ones.
Taking pot shots at the Jharkhand Police the MLA demanded that the state government should give a cash award of Rs 10 lakh each to ADG R K Mallik, Ranchi DIG A V Homlar and Ranchi SSP who have portrayed this Maoist as a hero.
Meanwhile the Mahanagar AJSU led by its president Munchun Rai has started a signature campaign in this regard. He said that the entire drama raises a question over functioning of Jharkhand Police as by glorifying a dreaded Maoists a wrong massage is being sent across the youth.
