Vice president Venkaiah Naidu to lay foundation for smart city on Sep 9

Ranchi, Aug 22: Vice president M Venkaiah Naidu would lay the foundation stone for the smart city project on September 9 in Ranchi.

Chief Minister Raghubar Das who is in New Delhi extended an invitation in this regard to the vice president which was accepted by him and given his consent to visit Ranchi. Apart from the smart city foundation would be also laid for the convention center, urban tower and other projects.

 

The smart city would come up in 665 acres of land for which the master plan has been prepared and would be implemented after some minor changes. The smart city would be developed as education hub where studies of technical education, skill development and management would be made.

 

In the smart city project about 1.50 lakh people would be residing who would be provided with world class facilities and would get all facilities in one area including schools, hospitals and markets. The urban tower and convention center would also be one its kind in the nation.
