Ranchi Jul 18 : Jharkhand’s Urban Development Minister C P Singh said that Swami Agnivesh was a fraud whom he knew for the last 40 years.
Talking to the press outside the assembly here he said that no worker or supporter of Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha was involved in the Pakur incident during which Swami Agnivesh was beaten up alleged BJYM workers.
He said that Swami Agnivesh had himself orchestrated the attack on himself and went on to add that this was not the first incident when Swami Agnivesh was beaten up. He was also earlier beaten up during the Anna Hazare Movement.
Earlier inside the assembly the minister had described Swami Agnivesh as ‘Videshi Dalal’ and a fraud which drew sharp criticism from the opposition benches.
Swami Agnivesh was beaten outside a hotel by supporters of BJYM and ABVP yesterday in Pakur as he was in the town to participate in a function of the primitive tribes as a chief guest.
