Ranchi: Two major changes are going to happen again in the city’s traffic system. Due to this, the problem of jam is going to increase once again. Regarding the construction of the approach road, pipeline and electricity pole shifting from Bahubazar to Bishop School where vehicles coming from Birsa Chowk, Sujata Chowk and Station Road will be diverted from Bahubazar from Sunday.
Vehicles from the diverted route will be able to go towards Kantatoli via Basartoli near St Paul’s College for the next 15 days. On the other hand, the entry of vehicles from Mecon Chowk towards Devendra Manjhi Chowk has been stopped since Saturday due to the flyover construction work going on between Sirmtoli and Mecon Chowk.
This arrangement will remain in force till September 4. On the request of Project Manager Maruti Srivastava, Traffic SP Haris Bin Jama has made changes on the said route. Motorists will be able to go towards Bahubazar via Radium Chowk via Nucleus Mall from Radium Chowk, from Lalpur Chowk to Kantatoli. Before Karbala Chowk from the branch road in front of St. Entry will be prohibited on the road leading to Basartoli from the school side. To go to Basartoli passing from the southern part of Bahubazar, one will be able to enter in front of St. Paul’s School by hawking the branch road.
No one will be allowed to park the vehicle on the roadside in the branch road. Motorists traveling from Mecon Chowk towards Devendra Manjhi will be able to travel via Old High Court building via Rajendra Chowk. Motorists coming from Kadru Overbridge towards Devendra Manjhi will be able to reach their destination via Rajendra Chowk. Additional traffic personnel will be deployed at Basartoli for smooth traffic.
The carts and stalls on the right side of the road from Bahubazar to St. Paul’s College will be removed. The weekly vegetable market to be held at Bahubazar-Karbala Road will be removed from the road. Traffic jawans posted at Kantatoli, Dangratoli, Lalpur Chowk, Kokar Chowk, Nucleus Mall Chowk and Jail Mod Chowk to take special precautions.
