TSPC Zonal Commander carrying reward of Rs 10 lakh nabbed by Ranchi Police

Ranchi: In a major success for the Ranchi Police in its anti-Maoists drive two dreaded ultras belonging to the Tritiya Sammelan Prastuti Committee including a zonal commander of the outfit who was carrying a reward of Rs 10 lakh on his head have been caught. The arrested have been identified as Bhikhan Ganjhu who is the zonal commander of the outfit and his associate Rahul Kumar Munda. The duo were nabbed from Dhelatoli under the Sadar Police Station area.

Briefing the press Ranchi SSP Surendra Kumar Jha said Bhikhan Ganjhu is the zonal commander of TSPC and has a total of 26 cases registered against him in separate police stations of the state. Originally both the arrested are from Chatra district.

Police have also recovered Rs 12,32,270 lakh from them which they had collected as a levy. Apart from that 7 mobile phones, 2 routers, a laptop, an Aadhar card, 5 debit cards and a two-wheeler has been recovered from them. Apart from Jharkhand Police the NIA was also looking to catch Ganjhu in a terror funding case. Bhikhan was also on the list of most wanted of the National Investigating Agency.
