Top officials discuss anti-naxal operations

Ranchi: The Ministry of Home Affairs hosted a crucial national conference in New Delhi on Friday, focusing on strategies and updates related to anti-naxal operations across the country. This high-level meeting reviewed the current status of anti-naxal measures and discussed effective implementation of policies and tactics.

The agenda of the meet was detailed analysis of the recent activities and strategies employed in anti-naxal operations, discussions on effectiveness of current operational tactics, including intelligence gathering, field operations, and coordination among various agencies, besides addressing ongoing challenges faced in anti-naxal operations and propose actionable solutions to overcome these obstacles.

The conference was attended by senior officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs, representatives from state police forces, and other key stakeholders involved in counter-naxal operations. Home Secretary led the discussions and provided an overview of the current national strategy. Chiefs from affected states presented reports and updates on their respective operational challenges and successes and members of special task forces involved in anti-naxal activities shared their insights and operational experiences.

The primary objective of the conference was to enhance coordination between central and state agencies, review effectiveness of existing anti-naxal strategies, and strategize for future operations. This gathering was aimed at strengthening the framework for combating Maoist insurgency and improving overall security measures.

The conference underscored the commitment of the government to address and mitigate the impact of naxal activities and enhance the safety and security of affected regions.
