Ranchi: The three-day (14-16 November 2023) CCL Inter Area Badminton and Table Tennis Tournament was successfully concluded. This competition was organized at Thakur Vishwanath Shahdeo Indoor Stadium, Khelgaon, and Ranchi in which men and women players from all areas including CCL Headquarters participated.
The chief guest of the closing ceremony was Shri Harsh Nath Mishra, Director (Personnel), CCL. In his address, he congratulated the winners and inspired the remaining participants to continue practicing and achieve excellence in sports.
In the badminton competition in the women’s category, CCL Headquarters was declared the winning team while in the men’s category, CRS Barkakana was declared the winning team. Similarly, in badminton itself, Sambit Kumar, CRS Barkakana stood first in Open Men’s Singles, Nikhil and Sambit Kumar stood first in Open Men’s Doubles. Mohan Lal Singh in Veteran Singles, Mohan Lal Singh and Sanjay Chatterjee in Veteran Doubles, S. in Women’s Open Singles.
Nidhi, NK region while S Nidhi and Madhu Devi were declared first in women’s open doubles. Hazaribagh region was declared the winning team in the table tennis competition in the men’s category. S in women’s open singles in table tennis competition. Nidhi, Nilu Kumari and S. in women’s open doubles.
Nidhi while Alok Singh in Men’s Open Singles, Samarendra Singh and Alok Singh in Men’s Open Doubles; NK in Veteran Singles Ram, B.D. in Veteran Doubles. Singh and Satish Chaudhary were declared winners. Under the guidance of CMD CCL, Dr. B. Veera Reddy, sports competitions are organized from time to time for the multidimensional development of the personnel.
