Ranchi: A hearing was held in the High Court on a public interest litigation filed by ED witness and resident of Sahibganj, Vijay Hansda in the illegal mining case.
After the hearing, the court ordered the CBI to investigate the illegal mining in Nimbu Pahar and other areas located in Jirwabari police station area of Sahibganj.
The High Court has said in its order that the CBI should investigate this matter.
The petition states that when Vijay Hansda tried to stop illegal mining at Nimbu Pahar, he was threatened by the MLA representative of Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
Held in the court of High Court Judge Justice Sanjay Kumar Dwivedi.
Advocate Sudhanshu Shekhar argued before the court on behalf of petitioner Vijay Hansda.
After the order of the High Court, now the CBI can start investigating the case of illegal mining in the Sahibganj district.
