Ranchi: The Jharkhand High Court has given its verdict on the election petition of KN Tripathi, a former minister and the Congress candidate from the Medininagar seat in the 2019 assembly elections.
The court rejected the petition of KN Tripathi and declared the election of Alok Chaurasia valid.
Earlier, the court of Justice Justice Anil Kumar Chaudhary had reserved its decision after hearing all the parties.
In the assembly elections held in the year 2019, BJP’s Alok Chaurasia won by defeating KN Tripathi.
After which KN Tripathi filed a petition in Jharkhand High Court challenging the election of Alok Chaurasia and demanded cancellation of his election.
