Ranchi: After positive talks with the Energy Corporation management, the strike of electricity workers announced on September 26 has been postponed.
This was announced by Jharkhand Power Workers Union President Ashish Kumar. Many points were agreed upon in the talks held with the management on Friday. On behalf of the management, in the talks, General Manager Personnel Sunil Dutt Khakha, General Manager JBVNL Sameer Mundu, Deputy General Manager Urja Vikas Nigam Sanjay Kumar, Deputy General Manager Urja Vikas Nigam Pradeep Kumar Sharma, General Manager JBVNL Abhishek Kumar, Senior Manager Ashok Kumar Suman, Manager Sanjay Kumar, Pankaj Kumar.
Bhagat, Praveen Sharan, while on behalf of the Sangh, President Ashish Kumar, General Secretary Arun Kumar, Nitesh Tiwari, Uttam Paswan, Sanjeev Rai, Manish Kumar etc. were present. In the talks between the management and the union, 18-point demands were agreed upon. It was said that almost all the demands are in process and will be fulfilled soon. The management told the union representative that the process of new designation mapping is in the final stage.
The committee will submit its report within 45 days. The further process will be completed. At the same time, permission for a 6 percent energy allowance will be taken from the board meeting soon. The requirement of examination of employees, which was the demand of the union for years, was also agreed upon.
A copy of the order will be published soon. In the matter of the promotion of employees, the management informed the union that earlier the promotion of employees was done on the circle cadre.
Due to this promotions of employees remained pending for years. The union had been continuously demanding that the promotion of employees should be done from the headquarters level.
