State government is making Jharkhand as per dreams & wishes of martyrs: Hemant Soren

Jamshedpur: Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that his government is working day and night to make Jharkhand as per the dreams and wishes of the martyrs of the state.

Speaking after paying tributes on the occasion of the 72nd birthday of Veer Shaheed Nirmal Mahto he said that the whole state is remembering and saluting brave martyr Nirmal Mahto on his birth anniversary who was the pioneer of the Jharkhand separate state movement.

The Chief Minister said that Mahto had given strength and edge to Jharkhand’s separate statehood movement and struggle with his leadership capacity and for this he also sacrificed his life. He said that Jharkhand can never forget his contribution to the separate statehood movement. He said that there is need to rebuild Jharkhand by following his dreams and footprints.

The Chief Minister paid tribute to him by garlanding the statue at Kadma, Ulyan in Jamshedpur. On this occasion, the Chief Minister paid floral tributes at the memorial at his residence and met his family members.

The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of respected Guruji, many heroes had given their martyrdom to get the status of a separate state for Jharkhand and his government is working to build the Jharkhand of the dreams of those martyrs. 

The Chief Minister said that the government is determined to give full respect and rights to the heroes and martyrs of the separate state movement. Along with pension, it has been decided to provide horizontal reservation in jobs and many other facilities to the families/dependents of the martyrs he said. Adding further he said that Tribals, Dalits, and backward, poor, farmers here are being covered with many welfare schemes to improve their living standards.

The Chief Minister said that just as the revolutionaries of the state kept their points by agitating against feudalism in the same way today people have to raise their voices for the rights of the deprived, exploited, helpless, poor and backward sections of the society. 

Minister for Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Welfare Department Champai Soren, Minister, Health Medical Education and Family Welfare Department Banna Gupta, Minister, MLA Ghatshila Ram Das Soren, MLA Ichagarh Savita Mahto, MLA , Bahragora Sameer Mohanty, MLA Potka Sanjeev Sardar, MLA Jugsalai Mangal Kalindi and a large number of general public were present on the occasion.
