Ranchi: State government employees will get 4 percent increased dearness allowance from July 1, 2023. All the employees covered under the seventh pay revision with effect from January 1, 2016 will get its benefit. The Finance Department has issued a resolution regarding this.
Jharkhand government had taken the decision on November 3 to increase the dearness allowance of its employees from 42 percent to 46 percent in line with the Centre. According to the defined rule 34 (A) of Jharkhand Service Code, dearness allowance is payable on basic salary. But this will not be payable on special pay and personal pay.
As a result of the seventh pay Commission by the Central Government, as per the pension revision approved by the Central Government for its pensioners and family pensioners from January 1, 2016, pension revision has been made admissible to the pensioners and family pensioners of the State Government through the Planning cum Finance Departmental Resolution.
