Seventh Eastern Regional Police Co-ordination committee held

Ranchi: On Tuesday the meeting of “Seventh Eastern Regional Police Co-ordination Committee” was organized on through video conferencing in which all the bordering states of Jharkhand state such as Odisha, Bihar, Bengal and Chhattisgarh participated.

The meeting was attended by Director Generals of Police and other senior police officers of all the states.  In the meeting, under the chairmanship of  Neeraj Sinha, Director General of Police and Inspector General, Jharkhand, Additional Director General of Police, Additional Director General of Police, Jharkhand, Additional Director General of Police, Special Branch, Jharkhand, Inspector General of Police, Campaign, Jharkhand, Inspector General of Police, Provision cum Training, Superintendent of Police, Police  Headquarters, Jharkhand participated.

During the meeting following agenda points were discussed including necessary action to strengthen Naxal operations and intelligence, to cooperate with each other in internal security matters, cooperating with each other to prevent inter-state crimes like organized crime, cyber crime, drug trafficking, human trafficking and to cooperate in training and security.

In this meeting, the Director General of Police and Inspector General, Jharkhand, while giving information about the roadmap to eliminate Naxal incidents in the border Naxal areas of the state in a phased manner, he stressed on cooperation with the police of all the border states like Odisha, Bihar, West Bengal and Chhattisgarh.  Apart from coordination, other points were also discussed.

He asked the senior officials of all the states to strengthen Naxal operations and intelligence, positive cooperation in internal security matters, inter-state criminal cases such as organized crime, cyber crime, drug trafficking, human trafficking and jointly in training and security matters.
