Secretary Rural Development and Mnrega Commissioner review execution of various schemes

Ranchi: Secretary Rural Development Department  Manish Ranjan and Mnrega Commissioner Rajeshwari B on Friday reviewed the schemes being executed through Mnrega in the state.

DDCs of all districts, all Block Development Officers, Project Officers and Block Program Officers were present during the meeting. In the course of review, the DDCs of the districts making relatively less progress were directed by the Mnrega Commissioner to expedite the work.

While reviewing the Birsa Green Village Scheme Rajeshwari B inquired in detail about the selection/approval of the beneficiaries under the scheme. In the meeting, information was given through presentation of the works done against the target set under Birsa Harit Gram Yojana.  Discussions were held on the supply of saplings for plantation in the district and the present work progress.  In the meeting, all the DDCs were instructed that the rainy season is favorable for plantation therefore the target of plantation block wise / panchayat wise should definitely be fulfilled. She directed the poor performing districts to expedite the work.

She directed to improve the rejected account of Mnrega workers through Rejected Transactions, PFMS without delay, geo-tagging of 100 percent scheme and to create human beings by operating the scheme in the village as per the target.  During this she directed thag all the incomplete projects to be completed on priority basis.  The Mnrega commissioner also gave necessary directions to all the DDCs regarding the rejected transactions.

During the meeting Manish Ranjan, Secretary, Rural Development Department, directed the concerned officials of various schemes that proper monitoring/supervision of all the works being done on the ground is necessary.  He directed the senior officers and block development officers of all the blocks to continuously monitor all the active sites and the works being done under Mnrega.

He said that the main objective is to make these welfare schemes run for the benefit of the common people successful on the ground for this all the officers were instructed to make active efforts.
