Rural Development Secretary K. Srinivasan conducted review meeting of Rural Development Department

Ranchi:  Rural Development Secretary K Srinivasan conducted a review meeting of the work progress of the schemes run in Jharkhand under the Rural Development Department, directed the officials that there should be strong monitoring to ensure transparency in the schemes related to MGNREGA.

MGNREGA plays an important role in strengthening the rural economy. He directed to organize a review meeting every month, so that the schemes operated under the department can be reviewed regularly and in detail. The Secretary said that to maintain transparency and quality in the implementation of MGNREGA schemes, accountability of the beneficiaries should also be fixed.

This will also help in completing the schemes within the stipulated time and the beneficiaries will get relief from middlemen. He said that social audits of the schemes running in Panchayats under MNREGA should be regular. This will curb irregularities and negligence in planning.

In the meeting, the MGNREGA Commissioner presented detailed information about the progress, important decisions and achievements of MGNREGA schemes in the financial year 2023-24 through PPT. He informed the Chief Minister about the action plan for the financial year 2023-24. The schemes and targets are as follows – \

A total of 6.26 lakh schemes have been completed so far in the current financial year.

Scheme to plant cactus on barren land, will be in vegan leather Usage, Under Abu Awas Yojana, the kutcha houses of the villagers are being made permanent.

1015 lakh man days have been generated in the current financial year.

A total of 1015 lakh man days have been generated so far against the 900 lakh approved man days in the current financial year.

100% wages have been paid.

Under the Birsa Green Village Scheme, with the aim of increasing the income of the villagers, a total of 1, 27,381 families have been benefited so far through horticulture on a total of 1,10,665 acres of land against the target of horticulture on a total of 1,31,850 acres of land in the last 4 years.

Under the Birsa Irrigation Well Promotion Mission, one lakh irrigation wells are being constructed with the funds from MNREGA and State Plan items.

There is a provision to provide animal sheds to the beneficiaries of the Chief Minister Livestock Development Scheme.

Under this, 27,786 schemes have been approved.

So far, shed construction has been completed in 13,309 schemes.

97.83 percent construction of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin completed.

Deendayal Antyodaya – National Rural Livelihood Mission.

Under Deendayal Antyodaya – National Rural Livelihood Mission, 2.89 lakh Sakhi Mandals have been formed in the state.

Due to which 32.94 lakh families have been connected.

In the last four years, 1.18 lakh Sakhi Mandals have been formed and 15.29 lakh families have been connected.

At the same time, more than 5 lakh women farmers have been made millionaire women.

In the meeting, Rural Development Secretary, Women Producer Organization, Johar Project, Jharkhand Micro Drip Irrigation Project, Women Farmer Empowerment Project, Palash Brand, Phulo Jhano Ashirwad Abhiyan, Deendayal Upadhyay Rural Skill Scheme, Rural Self-Employment Training Institute, Birsa Special Tribal Development Scheme and Udaan.

Information related to the project, block building construction work was also given.
