Ranchi: Rural Development Minister Alamgir Alam handed over appointment letters to the newly appointed 05 Lokpals.
The Rural Development Minister appealed to all the Lokpals to inspect, hear and resolve MNREGA works in a transparent manner.
He said that our aim should be that the minor complaints should be resolved on time and the minor problems should be rectified by paying attention to them.
The Rural Development Minister told the Lokpals to become role models by discharging their excellent responsibilities.
Patiently listen to the problem or complaints like a judge, examine and then decide.
Rural Development Secretary Chandrashekhar said that the appointment of Lokpals will bring transparency in MNREGA works.
The responsibility of the ombudsman is to provide accountability to stakeholders, transparent mechanism and qualitative improvement in efficiency under MGNREGA.
He said that Lokpal will not only monitor the schemes, but will also solve the complaints immediately and will continuously inform the government about the progress of the schemes.
