RSS worker shot dead in Dhanbad

Ranchi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) worker Shankar Prasad was shot dead in Tundi of Dhanbad district. The criminals fired six bullets at him from the front. He died on the spot. People came to know about his death on Wednesday morning.

After the incident, the police reached the spot, took the dead body, and sent it for post-mortem. Shankar Prasad was a resident of Duma village under the East Tundi police station area of Dhanbad district. He was also a member of the village defense team.

Shankar was also the district work head of Dhanbad District Vanvasi Kalyan Kendra. He was going to Shahrapura on Tuesday night. On the way near the Duma cemetery, some people shot him from the front. On the incident, former Giridih MP Ravindra Pandey, and Sangh activist Moti Lal Murmu have demanded the immediate arrest of the killers.

On Shankar’s murder, his nephew said that he had become a bad name for some people because of his cooperation with the police. He was also a social worker.
