Ranchi, May 12: The Jharkhand Government on Wednesday decided to increase the restrictions in the state by another two weeks and it will now be implemented till May 27, 6 am.
A decision in this regard was taken in the meeting of the Disaster Management Authority which was chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
Among the key decisions, it has been decided that all the people who will be coming from outside the state will be made to undergo compulsory home or institutional quarantine however it will not be applicable for people who will leave the state within 72 hours.
A ban has been imposed on inter-state and intra-state bus service and private vehicles will be allowed for movement through E-pass. It has been decided that weddings will be either held in homes or court and in this only a maximum of 11 people will be allowed and no function will be organised.
Further social distancing in haats and Bazaars will be strictly implemented. Health Minister Banna Gupta, Chief Secretary Sukhdeo Singh and other senior officers were present in the meeting.
