Five lakh medicine kits to be distributed among people by Anganwadi centers: CM

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Wednesday said that the state government is serious over the treatment of the people suffering from Coronavirus in the rural areas of the state as part of which it has been decided that five lakh medicine kits will be distributed by Anganwadi Centers and even oxymeters will be present for the benefit of the people.

Chairing a video conferencing with the MPs and MLAs of North Chottanagpur division he said that in the second wave of Coronavirus the infection has rapidly spread among the people across the country which has emerged as a big challenge for everyone however with mutual cooperation and participation the battle against Coronavirus will be won.

He said that in the initial days’ things were a bit out of order but due to the continuous efforts of the state government success is now being achieved to control the situation. He said that healthcare facilities are being increased in the state and despite the limited resources all possible efforts are being made to improve the system so that relief can be provided to the people.

He said that in the interest of the nation and humanity Jharkhand has been providing oxygen to other states so that precious lives can be saved. He said that the government is providing the best possible facilities for the treatment of the people.

The Chief Minister said that through toll-free numbers also problems of the people are being addressed. He said that there were sufficient numbers of oxygen-supported beds, ventilators, ICU and oxygen cylinders in the state.

The Chief Minister said that through Sanjeevani Vahan 24 hours emergency oxygen cylinders are available while the process was on to establish oxygen plants in Sadar Hospitals of the state and in all districts oxygen banks will be set up.

The Chief Minister said that Coronavirus has badly impacted the healthcare system and there was a lack of doctors and other medical staff which the government is aware of and is trying to sort out the situation.

He said that the health department has been asked to hire medical students who are in the last year and those who have taken nursing training and even retired doctors who are interested to serve their help will be also taken by the government.
