Deoghar: Newly elected Mayor of Deoghar Municipal Corporation, Ravi Raut, formally took the oath of office and secrecy on Friday at a ceremony attended by municipal officials, public representatives and a large number of supporters.
Speaking after the swearing-in, Raut said that speeding up the city’s development would be his foremost priority. He emphasised the need to strengthen the sanitation system, improve civic amenities and bring greater transparency to the functioning of the Deoghar Municipal Corporation.
The newly elected mayor said he would work to justify the trust placed in him by the people and ensure that governance remains accountable and people-centric.
Raut also outlined his focus areas, which include strengthening basic infrastructure, improving drainage facilities, upgrading roads and accelerating ongoing development projects across the city.
The oath-taking ceremony concluded in an upbeat and orderly atmosphere, with attendees expressing optimism that under Raut’s leadership, Deoghar will witness faster and more sustainable urban development.
