Ranchi: People breathed a sigh of relief as after two days of continuous rain the sun came out on Tuesday morning. However, throughout the day it continued to play hide and seek behind the clouds. The rainfall over the last two days has had a direct effect on the maximum temperature of Ranchi as it has come down to 24.2 degree celsius, which was 31.2 degree celsius on Sunday.
According to the forecast of the MET Center, the maximum temperature in Jharkhand is expected to be between 29 to 30 degrees till October 22. There is also a possibility of fog and mist in the morning of 23-24 October. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a low-pressure area in Telangana and Bay of Bengal and effect of this is visible in Jharkhand also. It has been raining continuously for the last two days in almost all parts of Jharkhand including Ranchi.
Scientists at the local weather station said that there is a possibility of rain for the next two to three days. Heavy rain may occur at isolated places over the northern (Palamu, Garhwa, Chatra, Deoghar, Dhanbad, Godda) and central parts (Ranchi, Ramgarh, Hazaribagh Khunti) of the state. Other districts of the state will also receive moderate rainfall and there was also the chance of thunderstorms.
