Ranchi: The disappearance of one-and-a-half-year-old Aditi Pandey from Ranchi’s Kokar area has sparked growing concern across the city. More than 24 hours after the incident, the child remains untraced, leaving the family devastated and residents deeply anxious.
According to reports, Aditi was playing with children near her house between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. on May 9 when she suddenly went missing. When she did not return home for a long time, her family began searching the neighbourhood, but no clue about her whereabouts could be found. A missing complaint was later lodged at Sadar police station.
Soon after receiving the information, police launched an intensive search operation in the area. CCTV footage from nearby locations is being examined, while local residents are also being questioned. Multiple police teams are continuing efforts to trace the child.

The matter has now drawn attention at the highest administrative level. Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has personally taken cognisance of the case and directed Ranchi Police to expedite the search operation. In a post on X, the Chief Minister asked officials to act swiftly and provide updates on the efforts being made to locate Aditi.
Meanwhile, local residents are extending support to the family, and the child’s photographs are being widely shared on social media in the hope of gathering information. The family has appealed to the public to immediately contact 6205250103 if anyone has any information related to the missing child.
Police are currently investigating the case from all possible angles as the search for Aditi continues.
