Ranchi ODI: 1500 jawans including 4 IPS and 29 DSP to be deployed for security

Ranchi: In view of the one day international cricket match between India and South Africa to be held on October 9 tight security arrangements have been made by the Ranchi Police Administration.

All kinds of preparations have been completed regarding security inside and outside the field. At the same time, security has been increased from Ranchi Airport to Radishan Blu Hotel and from there to JSCA Stadium. In view of the security on behalf of the top officers, special responsibilities have been assigned to their subordinate officers.

Four IPS will be deployed for security in cricket matches. Monitoring will be done by them from all levels. Apart from this, 1500 jawans including 29 DSPs, 500 police officers will be deployed from the stadium to the main gate and around the stadium.

Players of both teams are staying at Radisson Blu Hotel. In such a situation, the security there has also been increased from now on. There will be a deployment of JAP-10, JAP Eco, Rapid Action Police, IRB and District Force in the security here. Apart from this, officers of the Special Branch will also be deployed in plain clothes.

Armed policemen will also be deployed on high buildings on both sides of the road leading the players from Radisson Blue Hotel to the stadium so that there is no danger of any kind. DSP-level officers will be deployed in the hotel for security. 

Policemen will be deployed on both sides of the road from the hotel to the JSCA stadium on the match day on October 9. The responsibility of monitoring the security has been given to SSP Kishor Kaushal. No decision has been taken so far to make any changes in the traffic system of the capital regarding the match.

Shortly before going from Hotel Radisson Blu to JSCA Stadium on the day of the match, traffic going to Kadru will be diverted along that route and vehicles going towards JSCA Stadium will also be diverted.
