Ranchi: Preparations have been intensified by the district administration for the first phase of polling on May 14 as part of the three-tier Panchayat Elections.
On Wednesday Deputy Development Commissioner Ranchi Vishal Sagar inspected the Despatch Center, Morhabadi (Football Stadium) and Pandara Bazar Samiti. For the first phase of polling, he gave necessary directions after taking information from the concerned officials about the polling party dispatch center management, seating arrangement for the personnel and mapping facilities.
In the course of the inspection, the Deputy Development Commissioner said that the dispatch of the polling party for the first phase of polling will be done from the dispatch center at Morhabadi. State Election Commission has also been informed about this. He said that the process of dispatch of the polling party would be started at 06:00 am.
There will be a blockwise arrangement for the seating of the polling party in the football stadium at Morhabadi. Taking stock of the preparations, the DDC gave necessary directions to the concerned officer. He said that ballot boxes and ballot papers will be given to the polling party from the other side of the football stadium. He directed the concerned officers regarding the basic minimum facilities required for the polling personnel.
He asked to ensure the provision of drinking water facilities, toilet facilities, medical facilities and help desk in the dispatch centres. He also gave necessary guidelines regarding the sound system to be installed in the dispatch centre.
The transport of polling parties will also be arranged from Morhabadi itself, for complete preparation, the Deputy Development Commissioner has given necessary directions to the District Transport Officer.
