Ranchi DC Inspected of the venue for organizing World Tribal Day

Ranchi: World Tribal Day will be celebrated in Ranchi on August 9. Deputy Commissioner Ranchi Rahul Kumar Sinha inspected the venue for the preparation of two-day national level program “Jharkhand Tribal Festival-2023” to be organized at “Bhagwan Birsa Munda Memorial Garden cum Museum” located at Jail Chowk, Ranchi.

According to the outline of the program, the Deputy Commissioner gave necessary and appropriate guidelines to the concerned officials while inspecting the site for the exhibition, food court, parking, VIP lounge, light and sound show, film festival, seminar etc.

A district level committee / cell has been formed for the successful organization of the national level two-day program “Jharkhand Tribal Festival-2023” in Ranchi. Keeping in view the comprehensiveness of the programme, nodal officers and associate officers have been deputed by forming committees/cells.

In Bhagwan Birsa Munda Smriti Udyan, while meeting with the nodal officers of the committee/treasury, Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar Sinha explained in detail about the work and responsibilities of all. He said that all the concerned nodal officers should come every day to review the progress of work in their program area so that timely preparations can be completed.

The Deputy Commissioner said that in view of the basic sentiments of the tribal society, their ethics, thinking method, importance of their educational, agricultural and economic activities, their rich cultural heritage will be prominently displayed in the festival.

While inspecting the program venue, the Deputy Commissioner directed the selected event manager to complete all the preparations related to the seminar in coordination with the TRI office. While selecting the venue for the seminar, the Deputy Commissioner asked to complete all the preparations in the stipulated time as per the outline of the programme. While discussing power supply, fire fighting, traffic arrangement, parking etc. in the program venue, the Deputy Commissioner gave appropriate instructions to the officials concerned.

Jharkhand Tribal Festival was organized for the first time on the occasion of World Tribal Day last year to give a distinct identity to the beauty of the rich tribal life philosophy of Jharkhand in the country and the world. This year the Jharkhand Tribal Festival will be celebrated in a grand manner on a larger scale.

Deputy Development Commissioner, Ranchi Dinesh Yadav, Additional Collector Rajesh Barwar, Additional District Magistrate (Law and Order) Rajeshwar Nath Alok, Director ITDA Sudhir Bada, District Welfare Officer Sangeeta Sharan, ACMO-2 Shashibhushan Khalkho, District Public Relations Officer Dr. Prabhat Shankar, ADIO, Ranchi, selected event manager and other concerned officials were present.
