Ranchi: In a major relief to the travellers just before the onset of the festival season the railways has decided to commence train service in a phased manner from the state.
The railways across second, third and four phases have plans to run 28 trains in the state which would be connecting the people to major metros of Mumbai, Howrah, Pune and Bengaluru.
Under the first phase, some trains are already operating in the state including the special Rajdhani Express. In the second phase, the railways would start nine trains which would be originating from Tatanagar, Ranchi and Hatia Junctions of the state.
Trains which would be commencing movement in the second phase included Train no 18111/18112 Tatanagar-Yeswantpur Express (Thursday), Train no 18103/18104 Tatanagar-Amritsar Express (Monday and Wednesday), Train no 18631/18632 Ranchi-Ajmer Sharif Express (Saturday), Train no 18637/18638 Hatia-Bengaluru Cantt Express (Saturday), Train no 12835/12836 Hatia-Yeswantpur Express (Tuesday and Sunday), Train no 18609/18610 Ranchi-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (Wednesday), Train no 12889/12890 Tata-Yeswantpur Express (Friday), Train no 22846/22847 Hatia-Pune Express (Monday and Friday) and Train No 12812/12813 Hatia-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (Friday and Saturday).
Similarly in the third phase, a total of 13 trains would be started out of which 6 trains would be passing through the state while 7 others would be originating from the different states. In the fourth phase again 6 trains would be originating from different stations of the state.
