Ranchi: UPSC prelims examination 2020 was peacefully held on Sunday across 61 centres of the capital.
The district administration had made all the necessary arrangements to organise the examination which was conducted as per the Coronavirus guidelines issued by the UPSC.
The examination was held in two sittings with the first sitting being from 9.30 to 11.30 am while the second sitting would be from 2.30 to 4.30 pm. Prohibitory orders were issued within 200 meter radius of the venues to prevent crowd gathering while no loudspeakers would be used.
At all the examination venues arrangements of sanitisation, thermal screening, social distancing were maintained and candidates having normal temperatures were allowed to enter. Further in sitting arrangements also social distancing was followed and separate rooms were also created for asymptomatic candidates.
The examination centres had been asked to keep extra masks as without masks candidates were not be allowed to enter the venue. Personnel involved in examination conduct were also equipped with gloves, masks and face shield.
