Raghubar Das announces Rs 10 lakh compensation each for the martyrs of Simdega ambush

Ranchi, Apr 9: Jharkhand Government has announced a compensation of Rs
10 lakh each for the family members of the two policemen who were
killed in an ambush by the PLFI ultras in Mahabuang of the Simdega
district.
Condemning the attacks Chief Minister Raghubar Das described it as a
cowardly act by the ultras and said that policemen fought very bravely
for which they needed to be saluted. He said that his government was
committed for eradication of the Maoists from the state.
Mr Das also directed the DGP Jharkhand D K Pandey and Secretary of the
Home Department SKG Rahate to visit the spot and inquire into the
incident.
Apart from the compensation amount the government also announced to
provide a job to the kin of the martyrs and said that the cost of
education of the children of the martyrs would be borne by the state
government. The salary for the entire service period would also be
handed over to the family members of the deceased.
In an attack by the ultras belonging to the People’ Liberation Front
of India which took place under Mahabuang Police Station area of this
district late into the midnight the officer-incharge of Bano Police
Station Vidyapati Singh and a police jawan Tarun Baruli were killed.
