Inner Wheel Club of Ranchi South Hosts Dandiya Night to Promote Women’s Entrepreneurship

The Inner Wheel Club of Ranchi South organised “Dandiya Raas For A Cause” at Hotel Royal Ranchi on Airport Road on October 12, combining Navratri celebrations with a message of women’s empowerment and self-reliance.

The event brought together around 70 guests for an evening of music, dance and festive activities. R. L. Rawani, Excise Commissioner, Hazaribag, and Vinod Rawani, DSP, Sahebganj, attended as chief guests.

The programme featured a Lucky Number Draw, in which five participants won gifts, and a Lucky Spot Dance competition followed by prize distribution. Two couples were recognised for their dance performances, while two guests received mementoes for their best outfits of the evening.

The highlight of the celebration was the launch of “Shuddh Swaad”, a homemade masala brand specialising in onion-free and garlic-free spice blends. The brand has been developed by Ranchi-based entrepreneur Moushmi Banerjee.

The Inner Wheel Club of Ranchi South launched the initiative as part of its efforts to promote women’s entrepreneurship and financial independence. By supporting a locally developed, home-based business, the club aims to encourage women to turn their skills into viable ventures and build opportunities for self-employment.

The brand’s focus on satvik spices, suitable for people who prefer food prepared without onion and garlic, received an encouraging response from guests and dignitaries. The initiative also underscored the potential of homegrown products to create business opportunities while catering to specific dietary preferences.

The club expressed gratitude to Shree TVS, Hawai Nagar, Hatia, for sponsoring and supporting its social projects. Special thanks were extended to Avinash Seth and Pratik for their valuable contribution and encouragement.

The evening concluded with a vote of thanks, marking the end of a celebration that combined traditional festivities with a social purpose.

Through “Dandiya Raas For A Cause”, the Inner Wheel Club of Ranchi South reiterated its commitment to community welfare, women’s economic empowerment and the promotion of local entrepreneurship, demonstrating how cultural events can also support meaningful social initiatives.
