Raghubar asks officials to make Sadar Hospital Operational in 3 months


Ranchi, Mar 19: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das has asked the
officials of the health department to make the Sadar Hospital
operational in the next three months and shift the child and women
wards from RIMS to the Sadar Hospital.
Chairing a review meet of the Health Department here he said that
arrangements for necessary man-power, equipments and other machinery
should be made and by June 200 bed hospital should be functional while
for the remaining 300 bed arrangements should be further made.
He asked the officials to implement the Mukhyamantri Swasthya Bima
Yojana and said that separate packages be made for separate diseases.
He said that 80 pc premium would be paid by the state government while
remaining by the people under which annually health care bills worth
Rs 2 lakh will be paid. He also asked to commence 108 ambulance
facility in three months and said that process of construction of 7
hospitals be increased.
He directed that under the Health Insurance Scheme the maternity of
pregnant women be also included which would help to control mother and
child mortality rates. He also asked the officials to make sure that
the private hospitals do not make wrong use of the policy. He said
that timeline be fixed so that the medical colleges in Bokaro,
Chaibasa and Koderma be completed in two years apart from that the
construction of medical colleges in Palamu,Hazaribagh and Dumka be
also completed on time.
