Jharkhand Govt to establish Special New Born Care Units

Ranchi, Mar 21: The Jharkhand Government has decided to nominate
HindustanLatex Limited Lifecare , an undertaking of the Union Health
and Family Welfare as the agency to establish and construct Special
Newborn Care Unit (SNCU).
A decision in this regard has been taken in the meeting of the state
cabinet which was chaired by Chief Minister Raghubar Das at the
project building here.
An official press release issued after the meeting said that among
the other key decisions the state government has decided to include 4
Counter Insurgency and Anti Terrorits Schools effective from 1/4/2015
and would also be functional in the fiscal 2017-18. It was also
decided that a Centre for Fiscal Studies be set up in the state. A nod
was also given to constitute posts for Radiation Protection Cell.
The cabinet also decided that out of 68 spots identified by JREDA
for setting up of minor hydel power projects, in the first phase on 13
spots for an installed capacity of 125.20 mw hydel power projects
would be set on PPP mode.
In another key decision the state government has decided to set up
Commercial Motor Vehicle Training Centre at 25 spots in the state.
These centers would be set up in every district while in Ranchi two
such centers would be established. Land has been identified for
setting these centers at four district: Godda, Dumka, Dhanbad and
Saraikela. The identified land would be handed over to the Higher
Technical Education and Skill development which would transferred to
NSDC/TSP. In every such center atleast 4,000 students would be
provided training every year and each year 10,000 women belonging to
SC/ST/OBC would also be providing training alongwith undertaking
vehicle repair, management and sales.
The state government also gave administrative approval for a
project worth Rs 5127.56 crore regarding ensuring power across
Jharkhand and for working of the project management consultancy. It
was also decided that for establishment of five mini soil testing labs
in every block NAFED and NACOF be nominated. It was also decided to
allocate a sum of Rs 6824.15 lakh for undertaking survey and preparing
DPR for 31 new large and medium scale irrigation projects to the North
East Division of the Central Water Commission.
