Ranchi: Jharkhand Finance and Food Supply Minister Dr. Rameshwar Oraon held a public hearing at the state Congress headquarters. In this public hearing, a total of 24 people presented their problems to Rameshwar Oraon.
Under the auspices of Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee, the public hearing program of all the ministers of Congress quota is going on every Monday of the month. In this series, under the public hearing programme, the problems of the people from different districts of the state were heard. Also called up the subordinate officers and instructed them to find a solution.
Apart from this, taking cognizance of the applications of the complainants, immediate written instructions along with special comments were given to the concerned officials. In the public hearing programme, people from various blocks of Bokaro, Ranchi, Khunti, Giridih, Hazaribagh and Koderma districts came with their complaints.
Public problems mainly include land grabbing, reinstatement of teachers, financial assistance, hand pumps and street lights, road construction, unnecessary beatings by the police administration, fake orders, Ghat construction, and removal of zonal officer and block development officer, land grabbing, Demand letter submitted in acquisition case.
Dr. Oraon said after the public hearing that no such case came before him on which a solution could be found by taking immediate action at his level. Most of the cases were related to land, which could be resolved only through the court.
Dr. Rameshwar Oraon believes that there is a need to hold public hearings at the block level, so that most of the people can benefit. He said that many such cases were also found which were fake and he has ordered an investigation into them.
In this public hearing, a woman from Khunti accused the police of beating her husband on false allegations, on which instructions were given to the Deputy Commissioner. A case of bullying of a PDS dealer and taking over 2 dealerships came to light in Silli, on which DSO has been ordered to investigate.
State General Secretary cum office in-charge Amulya Neeraj Khalkho, Rakesh Sinha, Dr. Rakesh Kiran Mahato, Nelly Nathan, Jagranath Sahu, Jitendra Trivedi were present in the public hearing program.
