Simdega, Aug 28: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that the state government was working on the agenda of development, good governance and belief and was committed to build a corruption free Jharkhand in which the promises and the aspirations of the people are met.
Addressing the villagers during the Sarkar Aapke Dwar programme at Biru of this district he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said that the people should give full majority and in return they would get development. However he said that the state government can not alone ensure development and it was also the responsibility of the people to participate in the development process. He said that the Jan Dhan Yojana of the center was launched on this day after which 29 crore people have opened their accounts and deposited crores of rupees which has helped to strengthen the economy of the nation.
On the occasion he also inaugurated schemes worth Rs 65 crore which is aimed at providing pure clean drinking water to the people of the area. He said that the government would provide 24 housr power by 2018 for which 7 grid and 257 sub stations are being built. He said that under the Crop Insurance Scheme claims worth Rs 231 crore has been transferred via DBT in the accounts of the farmers and remaining farmers would also get the payment soon. He said that Johar scheme worth Rs 1200 crore is being launched for the welfare of the people.
