Ranchi: The state police collected a fine worth more than Rs 1.13 crore across the 24 districts of Jharkhand for instances of lockdown violation and not wearing masks in public and arrested a total of 758 people between May 16 to June 3, 2021.
As per the data provided by the police headquarters across the state so far 15,313 instances of lockdown violation were reported during which a fine worth a total of Rs 72,92,242 was collected.
During this period 60,586 instances of people without wearing masks in public places was reported through which a fine worth Rs 40,69,088 was collected.
The total fine collected during this period amounts to Rs 1,13,61,310 was collected.
A maximum fine of Rs 22,66,100 was collected from Garhwa followed by Rs 14,07,000 from Ranchi district. During the drive a total of 197 FIRs were registered for violation of the guidelines with a maximum of 80 in Jamshedpur.
In this period 758 people were also arrested in connection with lockdown violation with a maximum of 622 people being arrested from Jamshedpur.
