Ranchi: Senior leaders of the State Congress Committee, Alok Kumar Dubey, Lal Kishore Nath Shahdev and Dr Rajesh Gupta Chhotu have strongly condemned the action of the Central Government to send police to Rahul Gandhi’s house and termed it as an indication of the Prime Minister’s desperation.
Alok Dubey said sending police for questioning at Rahul Gandhi’s residence at the behest of the Home Minister is the last step in the decline of political decorum and decency. Dubey said that the women who met Rahul Gandhi on the way during the Bharat Jodo Yatra shared their pain, harassment, and atrocities and on the basis of that sending police on Rahul Gandhi’s statements after 45 days is a cowardly and dictatorial action.
He said that Bharat Jodo Yatra and Rahul Gandhi gave women a safe platform to share their problems and pains and all the countrymen made him aware of their agony at various places. The central government is trying to divert attention from the Adani issue and to suppress the voice of Rahul Gandhi, and not only this, today a unique example of the politics of intimidating the country’s biggest leader of the opposition and a parliamentarian was presented and all this was deliberately done with a thoughtful plan he said adding that under the strategy the attention of the country is being diverted and also divert the attention of the Parliament but the truth will neither be hidden nor will it be suppressed or feared.
Congress leader Lal Kishore Nath Shahdeo said that ever since 16 parties have demanded JPC and Rahul Gandhi has put the Prime Minister in the dock on the Adani issue, his uneasiness is clearly visible. Voices of protest will be intensified in Jharkhand also regarding the police action against Rahul Gandhi and agitation will be held on the streets he said.
Congress leader Dr Rajesh Gupta Chhotu said that to divert the issues, the Home Minister has resorted to police action to save Adani, but Rahul Gandhi’s questions will have to be answered.
