Police arrested three cyber criminals in Jamtara

Jamtara: Jamtara Cyber Police said three Cyber Criminals were arrested in Jamtara on Friday. Cyber DSP Ashok Kumar Ram gave this information. He said that Superintendent of Police Animesh Nathani had received secret information regarding the activity of cyber criminals in various villages.

On this basis, a team was formed under the leadership of Cyber DSP and raids were conducted in various villages in which three cyber criminals were arrested. Cyber Inspector Jayant Tirkey and other policemen conducted raids in Shekhpura and Amaratand villages of Karmatand police station area.

In this raid, Mukesh Mandal from Manikpura village, Ishtiaq Ansari and Tabrez Khan from Amratand village have been arrested by the cyber police. A case has been registered against all these arrested criminals in Jamtara Cyber Police Station and they have been sent to jail.

Cyber DSP said that eight mobile phones, 10 fake SIM cards, one ATM card and two bikes have been seized from the criminals. He said that the arrested criminals used to cheat people by threatening to cut off electricity to those who did not pay electricity bills and by calling themselves officials of the electricity department.

Apart from this, they used to cheat people by obtaining their bank details through various sharing apps by giving information about closure of credit and debit cards and luring them to get them activated.
