Ranchi: The launch of ‘PM-Suraj’ Portal’ by Prime Minister Narendra Modi via video conferencing in the presence of Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan in a program organized at Shri Krishna Institute of Public Administration, Ranchi. Radhakrishnan said that this is an innovative initiative of the Prime Minister which is an important step towards the progress and empowerment of our country. This portal provides the facility of online application for income-generating activities. He also congratulated the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment for this initiative.
The Governor said that our country is continuously moving forward on the path of development, our economy is today the fifth largest economy in the world. The benefits of development are visible at different levels. He said that the ‘Clean India Campaign’ was launched by the Prime Minister. Revolutionary changes in the direction of cleanliness can be seen in the last decade. Cleanliness can be seen at railway stations.
He said that the Prime Minister is committed to the development and welfare of the countrymen. He launched ‘PM Vishwakarma Yojana’ on his birthday to empower and provide assistance to artisans and craftsmen. The PM-Suraj portal is being launched with the aim of providing loan assistance for the welfare of the deprived sections. This loan assistance will be meaningful in their socio-economic progress. It is a pleasure that more than 500 beneficiaries are under this scheme in our Jharkhand state. This initiative is important towards the health and safety of frontline workers serving in challenging conditions.
The Governor said that ‘Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana’ is being run for the homeless, ‘Jal Jeevan Mission Scheme’ is being run to ensure that everyone has access to clean drinking water through tap. The world’s largest health insurance program ‘Ayushman Bharat Yojana’ is operated, which provides cashless health insurance benefits of up to Rs 5 lakh per year per eligible family. He said that for our Prime Minister, every countryman is a member of his family. He constantly interacts with people and inspires them.
